COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Stephens College soccer team suffered an 11-0 shutout loss to Columbia College on Wednesday evening. The NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll released on Tuesday kept Columbia ranked fifth in the nation for the fifth consecutive week. 

The Stars fall to 2-4-1 in conference play with a 4-6-2 season mark while CC remains undefeated.

Gerica Curry played 64 minutes in between the posts and made 11 stops. Sierra Thibault closed out the game in goal and recorded four saves.

CC scored six in the first half and added five more in the second half. CC's Kelsey Mirts scored a hat trick in the match, and two others finished with two goals.

The Stars take the next week off before jumping back in to play on Wednesday, October 11. The team plays host to Hannibal-LaGrange University with a 7 p.m. start time.
