COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Stephens College soccer team hosted Central Baptist College on Saturday for the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Game of the Week, and despite 110 minutes of play, the teams ended in a scoreless draw. The draw brings the Stars to 4-5-2 on the season with a 2-3-1 AMC mark.

It was defensive battle on the field as a combined eight shots on goal were taken in the double overtime game.

The Stars outshot CBC 6-2 in the first half with two landing on goal. The game switched in the second half with CBC leading in shots 4-1. The Stars got off four shots in the two overtimes.

Sophie Taube was responsible for four of the team's five shots on goal. Allie Wilson fired off the team's other shot on goal.

Keeper Gerica Curry (0-0-1) allowed no goals past her in the 110 minutes in goal and stopped three shots on goal.

The Stars next play cross-town opponent No. 5 Columbia College on Wednesday, October 4. First touch is set for 7 p.m. at the R. Marvin Owens Field on the campus of Columbia College.
