OMAHA, Neb. – Junior Allie Wilson netted the game-winning goal in the Star's overtime victory over Grace University on Friday night. The win is the first of the season for the Stars, bringing them to 1-1-1 on the season.

Three of Stephens' four shots were on goal in the first half, but they were unable to connect on any.

In the 66th minute, freshman Emily York scored on her throw in to give the Stars a 1-0 lead.

Ten minutes later, Grace scored on a 35-yard kick to knot the game at 1-1. The final 14 minutes were scoreless, sending the Stars into overtime for the second time this season.

In the 96th minute, Wilson netted the game winner on a shot that sailed to the top right corner of the net from just outside the box.

Sophomore keeper Maeghan Ely made seven stops in her 96 minutes in goal and allowed just one goal.

The Stars took 13 shots with eight landing on goal. Wilson finished with three shots on goal with one goal scored. Freshman Saffron Lancaster took two shots on goal.

The Stars return to Columbia, Mo. for a five-game home stretch starting on Wednesday, September 6, at 5 p.m. versus Bethel College.
